Denis McQuoid

After eight years in the Royal Navy he studied at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London, 1948-1951, where he met his wife of today.   For 20 years he engraved on copper plates for print, did a little part time teaching, and earned his living engraving on silver and gold.  In 1970 he moved to Slindon in West Sussex with his wife and two children.

 Soon he gave up engraving and teaching to concentrate on Painting.  At first he used water colours and painted trees and landscapes. Then he took to Oil Painting on canvas and developed through Surrealism into Abstract Surrealism.  This then led to Abstraction and Expressionism.

Has had several exhibitions of his work in France, Germany and the South of England

At eighty two years of age he is still progressing
